In the Beginning . . .

You arrive from somewhere and see a monolith with reflections of a building of some sort. You hear a humming sound and the sounds of a forest. You emerge from the device. As you begin to explore, you watch as the device that brought you here slowly shrinks. The Game might seem like something you’ve seen before or ideas you know. Be advised, this Game reality doesn’t work the way you think. This reality, where you find yourself, beckons you to explore. There are no monsters except those you create. You can’t get hurt unless you try. You may have to start over many times but you can not die in the Game, unless you insist otherwise. There are treasures and toys that will benefit or weaken you. You will learn how to build and craft a reality using the tools and knowledge you acquire. You can trade and barter with others once your reality has sufficient resolution. It is your world created using the tools and knowledge you acquire. A reality filled with things that are like you in some familiar way.
A video game that simulates life enables us to be what we can never be otherwise. A video game that simulates the imagination enables us to perceive what we could never imagine otherwise. Flicker Lighttm Studio was formed in 1988 to produce and manage the creative work of Tom Repasky. His art, music, stories, combined with technical and scientific skills, are used to communicate how it feels to be a human. The Game uses the technology he helped create. The Game uses the Unreal Engine to manifest a reality only Tom Repasky could image and create. The Game is about you.
